The Udyam Sakhi Portal, launched by the Ministry of MSME, is steadily empowering women to pursue entrepreneurship and achieve self-reliance. Designed as a one-stop digital resource, the portal provides guidance on government schemes, financial assistance, and business opportunities tailored for women.
As per a recent statement in the Rajya Sabha, the platform has already registered over 4,500 women entrepreneurs, highlighting its growing role in fostering inclusive growth.
First introduced in 2018 on International Women’s Day, the initiative was set up with an outlay of around ₹43.52 lakh. Its core mission is to make business information, training, and funding support more accessible, ensuring women can confidently start and scale their ventures.
The Udyam Sakhi Portal reflects the government’s vision of creating a supportive ecosystem where women are not only participants but also leaders in India’s entrepreneurial landscape.
